Why I started MPS — Rob’s story
I’ve owned several Porsches. When I started Mobile Porsche Specialist in 2018, I had a 997 and was experiencing the same frustrations with Porsche Centres and independent specialists that many of our customers know.
The inspiration came from a different car: my 1995 Mercedes SL320. Someone recommended a mobile Mercedes technician, and the experience opened my eyes. I could see the parts coming off and going onto the car. I learnt about it as he worked. There was practical, real-world advice about what was urgent and what could wait. It was transparent, personal and incredibly convenient.
I felt Porsche owners should have that choice too. I couldn’t find the service I wanted, so I set it up.
I’m profoundly passionate about doing the right thing for our owners and their cars. That means listening, explaining the work and helping you decide what makes sense for your Porsche. It is the reason this company exists, and the standard I want us to live up to.

A mobile workshop with specialist capability
Each mobile unit carries the equipment you’d expect at a static Porsche specialist, including:
- Vehicle lifts for underbody work
- Diagnostic systems (classic and modern)
- Full toolkit for servicing, repairs, fault-finding and inspections
Our mobile workshops and The Hub at Abercromby Industrial Estate, High Wycombe, HP12 3BW give you a choice. The Hub welcomes routine servicing as well as more involved repairs. We’ll discuss the right setting for your car and any collection arrangements when you enquire.
